Box bleaching kit help

Ok, so I was planning on doing a bleach bath tomorrow, but as I live in a very small remote town, they didn't have the bleach powder or the peroxide to buy separately to mix together, and I had to buy a boxed kit.
The bleach bath will still work right? Considering it's the same method? The bleach kit contains Blonding Powder, Developer Lotion, and Colour Creme, which you mix together. So if I add a bit of shampoo to this will I get the same effect as I would using bleach powder and peroxide?
Also, the kit I got says it lightens 4-6 shades. Would that be equivalent to 30vol?
The were no lighter ones and the one above that said lightens 6-8 shades. Which I would think that one would be a 40vol.

Let me know what you guys think πŸ™‚

In theory, yes.
In practice though I find these high lift blondes really vary in the amount of lift they give,so don't assume that you will get 4-6 levels of lift just because it says so on the box. Try it on a strand test first, you may not want to add any/much shampoo.
Which kit is it? The big brands all have helplines that you can phone and ask what volume the developer is. I would imagine 30 vol, (and the 6-8 level one 40 as you thought) but it is always good to know for sure

Sorry to intrude, only wanted to add that if you are just looking to lighten you don't need the color creme.

No its not the same as box bleach is weaker and less effective .  best thing to do is go for the bleach bath every 3 days  this avoid breakage. But before you do it use coconut oil . less damage . plus hair mask afterwards just to maintain any bit of hair you didn't cover
