Blonding help please

I went to the wholesalers and purchased 9% (30 vol) developer and also he Koleston perfect colour in 10.38 and 12.0 the idea is to mix these 2 colours, however I am unsure if I should use 1:1 colour to developer or 1:2 colour to developer. Any advice would be great full to received!!

Nope. Never, ever use dyes or bleach on freshly washed hair. You need the oils and dirt as a layer of protection on the hair and scalp. Chemical burns are potentially really bad.

What I actually suggest you do is leave it for a month to make sure the hair can take another processing. If it's ok then, mix up a bleach bath (there's a tutorial on the forum) and spot bleach the more golden parts. Then tone using the purple shampoo.

It's going to be hard to get it even, but some tonal differences can be very nice.

We really don't want to bleach it again as it is pretty light already, her only option right now is to either, colour over darker or try to even the colour slightly. She wants to even it out a little hence buying the colour and developer.
She can't keep it like it is for month.
We will apply coconut oil over night anyway, but,
What ratio of colour to developer should be used, like I say she has to do something by the end of the week or she faces  being in trouble at work.

Blonde dyes do exactly the same as bleach, they just add dye as well. They're just as harsh as bleach, often more if too high peroxide is used and 30 vol is too high on already processed hair. I'm suggesting a bleach bath which is a weak bleach and ONLY on the darker parts. This is to even it out and will only lighten a shade or two.

If she really can't wait, that way is by far the best. But it is very risky.

If you google Wella Koleston instructions there is a leaflet online that does briefly explain the developers and ratios needed, however as these are products marketed towards professionals you may find that the advice given isn't comprehensive or necessarily straightforward. I would think that 30 vol is risky to use on hair that is already lightened to blonde though, certainly if some of the hair is already white blonde.

Perhaps if you could get your hands on a direct dye in slightly darker blonde, something like Via Naturals that might blend the colour to look more even without risking the integrity of her hair?

I understand that some workplaces are strict about hair colours and such, but in hurrying this process you are choosing to risk the possibility of serious breakage/ loss.

In terms of the bleach bath, is there a way to do that without the powder bleach? Maybe mixing the developer with shampoo and just omitting the powder?

No. Peroxide on it's own can lift, but not well and it'll do more damage for the amount of lift than without bleach powder.

I think I am going to have to suck it up and pay for someone to come to the house to fix it for her so annoying at 22 she should know better than to mess with her hair.
