So, A few months ago I decided I was sick of my hair colour and went through a process of stripping it, and Dying it blue. Then, I got sick of the blue and about a week ago decided to strip the blue out. Two bleach baths left a slight green tinge which was supposed to get dyed over with pink, And I used Osmo Colour Psycho because I didnt want to wait on getting Directions online. It ended up with my virgin hair going bright pink, the green tinge in the mid lengths going purple and the ends a faded pastel mix of green, pink and purple. (I will never trust another bright colour dye that isnt Directions ever again)
TL;DR Tried to remove blue hair dye with bleach, left green parts, decided to go pink, didn't work, so tried going blonde
So I did a bleach bath to try and even out the colour to blonde, but theres still green tints after three bleach baths in two weeks. I DEFINITELY do not want to bleach bath again, and my hairs not in the best shape, though I've got loads of different conditioning treatments and put coconut oil on. I have Matrix Sheer Pastel Ash toner, but I'm not sure if I should try and get the green out before using it to finally get my hair the one shade? Or if It will help get the green out?
What the hell do I use to remove the green tint thats in most of my hair? the virgin hair is totally blonde, but the weird pale green is horrible and I'm a bit lost at what to do to fix it?
It could be stained by the green which will mean that you just have to live with it until it grows out or dye over it with another colour.
However, you also should try fading treatments and colour removers to get rid of it. Ideally you should have tried these before bleach to save your hair some damage, but they may still help now. One of the better fading methods is using a mix of bleach powder, shampoo and oils. (There's a thread on it somewhere in the tutorials section).
If colour removers and fading treatments still don't shift it then don't bother trying to bleach it out again, as your hair will likely fry before you get rid of the green.
Thank you, Ill definitely try and find that thread! I tried most of the fading tips I knew before the bleach, but I kinda knew blue is a nightmare to strip from hair. No more bleach for me! Not for a good while at least.
Thanks again!!
