Bleaching my hair?

It's impossible to say by looking I'm afraid!

If you're worried, do a strand test. Take a teeny section of hair you either won't tell is missing (some people do it still on the head, but it's easy to end up double processing that section that way) or if you use a brush, pull out some of the hair from that. Mix up a small amount of bleach (this is one reason why buying a bleach powder and separate peroxide is better than a box one) and paste it on. Wrap it in foil and don't let it get cold. Open it every 5 mins or so and see what colour it is. For green, a mid yellow is fine, you can add a little extra blue if it pulls too yellow when you dye it. That way you can time how long you need to leave it to bleach to the right colour.

Remember to do your roots last or they will come out brighter than the rest!
