I'm just wondering if it's okay to bleach after toning?
Like if I do an initial bleach to orange/yellow then tone with purple shampoo and homemade toner/conditioner for a month, will it affect the colour of the next bleach?
Or does it all have to be washed out and clarified before bleaching again?
Sorry if it's a silly question, just occurred to me and I want to be prepared 🙂

It is a really good question. If you mix your own toners from violet dyes, then you have to be quite careful to fade it out before bleaching again as it can go green or pink when bleached.
I have never had this issue with purple shampoo/conditioner, but that might just be because they don't deposit as much colour.

Thank you! I'll keep that in mind.
I'll probably use the homemade toner for now but then just stick to the purple shampoo and conditioner for a week or two before bleaching.
