I've looked around on here but can't seem to find any stories like mine, so here we go.
My hair was bleached, then coloured over with Directions in a cruella - half green half blue. I faded it, covered it with a semi red dye, then dyed over it with a golden brown box dye and now my hair is a dark seaweed green, despite putting a red base in. It looks cute but I want brown hair not green - what are my options?
I've read you can put red conditioner over, will this help? Money isn't an issue (I'm not going to my hair dresser though), I just want my hair to be brown again.
Yeah, add more red π mix in some red dye with conditioner should do it.
Would the peroxide in the box dye have removed the red semi, I wonder?
Was the brown dye a permanent one? It is generally better to avoid permanents over already bleached hair, they don't take or last as well.
I would put more red over it, then use a red/brown semi from Adore. They have lots of warm browns, and will not damage your hair further.

It will almost certainly have removed some. Like Wicked Pixie says, avoid permanent ones now.

It was. I live in New Zealand, so I don't have access to anything natural toned that is a semi. π Thank you so much for your help though! I'll try out some of the Schwarzkopf Live semi's and hope for the best. I feel so stupid because I thought I did everything right and then I didn't.

Thanks! Will this bring it back to brown then? Still going to stock up on red and brown semi's at the pharmacy today anyway.

Just an FYI, when we say semis we mean true, deposit-only semis. Most of the "semis" you get in supermarkets and pharmacies are actually demis that require a developer, which your hair really doesn't need.
Beeunique deliver worldwide (apart from the US, due to legal reasons) and they sell Adore dyes, which has a nice range of natural semi shades.
Everything else is spot on. Red semi in conditioner should help tone out the green, then you can put a nice warm semi brown over the top.
