I posted about 6 or 7 months ago back about my bleach disaster and my hair loss. Well so it turns out I do have a scalp condition which the derms can't seem to quite agree on. For a while they thought I had ringworm but realized that the hair loss and marks were not that of a ringworm mark. They believe I have seb derm a form of scalp ecgzma how I got that is beyond me. Additionally, I got a biopsy done and the results were negative. I have been to over 200 hair salons in the last 2 years. My hair still has a wopping 5 inches of bleach left in at the end of shoulder length hair. My dermatologist did not say my scalp condition would stunt hair grow and it doesn't. However, I believe by now the bleach should be gone and its not. It's dry brittle and disgusting. Should I go for the pixie; one to easier treat my scalp condition and two to get the bleach out?
You get eczema for a number of reasons.
Genetics
Abnormal function of the immune system
Environment
Activities that may cause skin to be more sensitive
Defects in the skin barrier that allow moisture out and germs in
It's not really an allergic reaction as people tend to think and it's not something you catch. It's just something that happens!
So, you've been to a hairdresser roughly every 3-4 days in the last two years? What was that for, I'm a bit confused. You had it cut each time? Have you had it cut at all since you were last here?
If you have, I have literally no idea how you still have bleached hair left as you must have had a lot of hair cut off and it should be all gone, or at least not much left. Unless they're cutting off literally a millimetre each time you go. But that would be pretty hard.
The answer is simple, cut off the bleached parts. The bleached parts won't miraculously disappear by themselves, if you don't cut it off it will be there permanently.
Hi all I want to update you. I am still having issues with my hair and not sure whether the bleach is gone or not i may need to join a hair loss forum. Does anyone know about hair growth remedies
Hair loss (other than male pattern baldness or general aging) is a medical issue. Your first stop should be your GP, they can then refer you to a Dermatologist, who should be able to recommend a Trichologist if necessary
Stress can cause hair loss, so the more you worry about it, the worse it can get.
I dont know much about hair loss but my when I told my uncle to use apple cider vinegar and massage his scalp with a denman shampoo brush, he said he did notice a difference in the thickness of his hair to a certain extent. ACV can help thicken it slightly but it is not a miracle solution. It just stimulates blood flow to the scalp which helps the health in the area. It really isnt a solution, it is more so something to do aswell as whatever the doctor tells you.
Definitely go see a dermatologist. The only reason for this hair loss is a heath issue and you need to rectify it.
