Bleach/shampoo/oil after colour remover

How soon after doing a couple of colour removers can I do the bleach shampoo oil? Do I have to give it some time like regular bleach or bleach bath, or does this not apply due to lack of peroxide?

It won't make it reoxidise like things with peroxide can, but i would wait a few days, and do a few oil soaks before going ahead. It will give your hair and scalp time to recover from the colour removers, doing drying treatments back to back can cause damage. I think you will have better results if you wait a while as well

Thanks a lot Wicked Pixie, I'll wait a bit before doing the bleach shampoo then. I did one colour remover tonight, it's removed a lot of the past months' growth, Adore Royal Navy. The Blue Velvet on the other hand appears to be permanent, so many dark pigmented layers of it. I have another colour remover to do over the weekend so might as well do it, then I'll give it a rest. I may have to rely on hats for a bit, it's yucky colour time. I'll be curious to see what the bleach shampoo will do, I've never tried that method.

Update: Second colour remover took my hair to a nice teal. I was hoping to get my hair lighter today using the bleach oil method, turns out my hair reoxidised. To be more specific, the last six-eight months' growth (when I switched to Adore) lightened up a little. All the rest of my hair with sfx Blue Velvet, which is most of it really, it's long, now looks darker and has got an inky colour back to it. Thought it best to give a warning to save someone else the trouble, time and cost I just went though. It's definitely a set back.

So you did two colour removers, then a bleach powder/shampoo/oils treatment and that is what caused the reoxidation? But only on the Blue Velvet areas? How long was it after the last colour remover?
I'm sorry your hair isn't where you want it to be, but thanks for posting, it is very interesting.
In theory direct dyes shouldn't ever 'reoxidise' since they don't oxidise in the first place.
SFX does seem to react differently to bleach than other dyes.

Yeah, I did two colour removers last week, one on Friday, one on Saturday. I concentrated the second one on my lengths because the BV is so pigmented and there was so much build up that the previous day hadn't removed this part as much as the top part. I then waited a week to let me hair rest, though I didn't wash it as I don't tend to wash my hair often when it's long as it doesn't need it. In hindsight washing it would have been a good idea to remove the residue I hadn't managed to rinse off first time around, but I didn't think it would be an issue as I've only used direct dyes for the past few years. It's interesting, I've never had this happen before. I'm starting to feel like I will have BV on forever, it was great when I wanted it that colour and it wouldn't fade, but there lies the downfall!
