(at least im quite sure because the bottom half of my is so dry it will just break)
Yes, this could be bleach damage. But it can only affect THAT AREA that has been bleached. Nothing else. It being brittle on the ends (though it really doesn't look remotely brittle) it CAN NOT and WILL NOT make it fall out from the root.
Anything falling from the root, AGAIN, is not bleach damage. It can not be bleach damage. It is not possible.
It is something else. NOT BLEACH.
Not bleach. Not bleach. Go to the doctor, we can't help you.
And it's not the bleach.
Not a doctor so this isn't actual medical advice but have you had a child or changed birth control? My hair fell out loads after I had my son but it was just because pregnancy hormones mean you don't lose as much as usual, so once the hormones regulated, the hair I should have lost fell out as well as usual loss.
But other than that, stop blaming the bleach and go see a doctor. It really isn't difficult.
ok got the message that its not the bleach.
i will go see a doctor.
this is very unfortunate:(
no i have not given birth...
thanks for all your support and help.

Ok everyone's hair grows at different rates a year, some people can gain an inch a month but most more like half an inch. There are even those that can barely grow a 1/4 of an inch. The growth of your hair is in no way connected to what you do to it on the outside( not counting hair pulling or seriously chemically damaging though if yours was chemically damaged you would no about it candy floss hair terrible breakage ect)
You should check out http://forums.longhaircommunity.com and you'll see that even people who do no chemical damage, no heat, no silicones ect ect have slow growth, have breakage, have hair loss.
Maybe what you need to look at is your water intake and your diet which have the biggest part to play in healthy hair growth among other factors, hair grows from the good you do to the inside not the out which only looks after the dead hair on your head and can't make your hair grow faster on the inside.
And what's the reason for not going? If this is a new thing (you never noticed slow growth or hair loss before) then it could be a symptom of something. If you are simply deficient in something then you will be told and you can sort that out.
If it's nothing, then, well frankly, you're probably just paranoid and it's not as slow or falling out. It's happened to a lot of people. A LOT. It's easy to do.
Just go to the doctor if you're worried and you can't shake the worry. Which it's obvious you can't.
Everyone thanks for listening to my complaints. I went to the doctor and I don't have a medical condition. Thank god. She explained to me that the average adult woman loses up to 100 hairs a day. However, that being said I went to another hair stylist (actually two) in the city who have explained to me that it will take some more time to grow out the bleached ends (It's definitely about four fives inches in). Unfortunately I would say this may take from 6-8 months to reach shoulder length. They explained to me it is a little dried out where the bleach is:( which is strictly a cosmitological problem:/
I guess my only bet is to be patient because a bob or pixie cut does not look like a good idea for me.
Does it make me sort of a trooper for having a terrible bleach dye job gone wrong (in my opinion)...and sort of sucking it up besides the complaining for about a year and half because clearly my hair doesn't really grow more than 1/4 of an inch per month? lol
btw, people can be really real dry and honest. "your hair is extremely damaged in the bottom half and I am sorry you're a wuss and can't handle having extremely dried out hair...and really you don't have much hope expect for gaining some patience!" LOL wow that was harsh
