I definitely accept it! I am definitely going to the doctor to see if there is some of a condition (i.e., slow hair growth and falling out). Don't know if I do have a condition, or had some long-term allergy to it?? or just genetically really slow growing hair. Don't know if I am genetically predispositoned. a lot of it is in the genetics....
but i am definitely going to the docs to see if there are is something wrong considering many have told me my hair should have grown back in completely with shoulder length hair by now when in fact i merely have a wopping four or five  inches of new growth

Some people just have slow growing hair naturally. A friend of mine always claimed her hair hardly grew, and i thought she was losing length due to breakage. I dyed her hair and realised she was right, she had about one inch of growth in 6 months.

yes...thats pretty much how my hair grows maybe a little bit faster than an inch i 6months so i think its best to stay away from the bleaches and other hair dyes. also i am going to go the doctor to see if i have some sort of a condition since i lost sooo much of it from bleaching it.

You still seem determined to connect your hair issues with bleach you used over a year ago! There really isn't a connection! Hair is dead, what you do to it once it has left the follicle cannot effect how it grows. You don't even have bleach damage, your hair looks completely normal.

what i mean is that since I hated the bleach process done, and my hair naturally appears to grow a little slower I should probably not ever use dyes on it again!

It. Is. Not. The. Bleach.

Though I wouldn't be surprised if the doctor does say something along those lines. It isn't the bleach. But that is also what I believe Piscine was referring to when she says you're ignoring what we're saying. It is not the bleach. Not. Definitely not. No way. Can't be. If you have slow growth naturally or an underlying issue, it's not the bleach. If hair that has grown since the bleach is in bad condition (though as wicked pixie says, it looks fine) then it's still not the bleach. ONLY the hair that was actually bleached can be affected by the bleach.

🙂

Edited to add after seeing the last reply - Using dyes on it isn't a problem. Use dyes, just be very sure before you do it. Do a stand test to see if you like the colour on your hair first.

If you hate the bleached parts you can dye them a different colour with direct dyes, they are totally non-damaging.

Think of the bleach like nail polish - if you don't take polish off it grows out along with your fingernails, and if you cut the polished bit of nail off then the polish cannot possibly affect the newly grown nail 🙂

Hi tabitha that is a wonderful way of putting it. I think I have gained some new perspective on it. Maybe my hair was falling out for a different reason...as of now seemingly only when I wash my hair....but my roommate says she losing tons in the shower and I saw and she has a larger clump than me and doesn't dye her hair. I am stil going to see a doctor...I came home and can see in different lighting that I have roughly four inches to go to I think I couldn't really tell in the florescent lighting at my school. It has made more progress than I thought. My mom though hates my shorter hair hahaa!
must grow it out!!

Honestly, I think you've become paranoid about it and you're probably losing normal amounts of hair. It can seem a terrifying amount when you notice it, but it's generally very normal. At this time if year many people lose an extra large amount of hair as well, effectively moulting like a cat does for the summer. I think you're probably thinking there's more left of the bleach to grow out than there really is too. I'm not saying you're imaging all this, but I think you're worry and panic about having 'shorter hair' and a colour you don't like, and exaggerating all the issues you have with it. Not seeing the true length and seeing all off it falling out. Loads and loads of people do it. 4 inches sounds a lot more reasonable and bout right, especially as your hair isn't really shoulder length, it's actually quite a bit longer than that. I actually can't see in the photo at all where the bleached part is, so it's difficult to judge.

Despite what I said before, and honestly, what I suspected, I don't think you have slowed growth and I don't think your hair is falling out more than it should be. I don't think you need to go to the doctor. I think you just need some more patience, get your hair trimmed regularly and stop thinking about it 🙂

I went to a hairdresser in the city hair bar nyc. She charges $45 for a haircut. I had a consultation only. She said that really it would take three or four months to see the rest of the bleach gone and that I should be using a deep conditioner on the ends. She also said they did a odd job with the haircut but she could fix that up this summer. She said that my hair is quite thick and they I actually need it thinned out and that I was most likely not losing my hair anytime soon. So I guess I can put these worries out of my head and I think I found a good new hairdresser!
Once again thanks for all your help. It's kind difficult over the internet but I definitely think you all helped me with my fear about my bleached hair!
*waves*
oh and note* baby shampoo and suave morrocan oil has made my hair much softer (washed it today for the first time in a about four days or so)

This is the bald spot on my hairline  that i was referring to.

hey everyone getting very nervous again...my hair is falling out still today in clumps...my hair is very very brittle at the ends and is so brittle that it will just fall from the root. I have no doubt that this damage and dryness was caused by the bleach that was done to me (at least im quite sure because the bottom half of my is so dry it will just break). This is very upsetting to me considering i have a spot now near my roots:(( Do u think my best bet is to go with the pixie and cut out all of the bleach.

Do whatever you want. You have point blank refused to listen to anything we have told you, so I'm not even going to bother arguing with you now.

You seem to have a serious medical issue which you refuse to acknowledge. Stop blaming the bleach.

I've read this while post & I can see people have advised you to go to a doctor. I too would suggest that, what's happened to you is 100% not bleach damage, but looks a lot like alopecia which needs to be diagnosed by a doctor. I can see some people aren't even willing to debate this with you anymore as your ignoring the fact something could be wrong. But you need to stop thinking all this is just the bleach as it's clearly not.
