Forgive my cluelessness, but what do you mean when you say "1.5 parts shampoo + 0.5 part water"? How would I measure this out? Any help really appreciated.

For example, if you used 3/4 litre of shampoo, you'd only use 1/4 litre of water.

Effectively, you use three times as much shampoo as water.

But how do I know how much shampoo, for example, to measure out as opposed to the bleach?
Sorry again - It's just not registering in my head when I read it, as I can't see what the 0.5 parts is relative to, bleach wise.

Your hair is fantastic, by the way!

Thank you : )

It says 25-50ml of bleach should do it.  So you'd use that as your base.  As you have quite long hair (looove the red btw), you'd use about 50ml of bleach, 25ml of water and 150ml of shampoo.

Hope that make it a bit clearer πŸ˜€

getting ready to do my 1st bleach bath but still a little confused on some issues, mainly the amounts to use & the development time, on another post I read to leave for 5-10 mins, on this one it says not go over time on pack of bleach (mine says average time 25 mins) or up to 40 for dark hair. My hair is currently just past shoulder length & is a mid reddish-ginger colour which came from a surprisingly good result on very dark brown/black hair with a pre-lightener...

Baha. It works on all hair shades, Luna.
It just works better for some and not so good for others. Totally depends on your hair type and how much dye you have in it.

If you have dyed hair with semi perms or perms, you should use a colour stripper first.
