[Sticky] Bleach Bath tutorial - with pictures!

Okay soo  i'm trying to go from dark brown hair to whitish/blonde  but i have a few questions:
I've only dyed my long, super thick brown hair once: last july. I used one box dye (Revlon/black)  which wasn't even enough to cover it and after about three weeks it looked the same dark brown it was before.

I want to try the BB but is a color remover/stripper necessary to do before hand?
I'm afraid using it will do unnecessary damage since there's pretty much no color in my hair...

Also, would BB be the best option for me even though my hair has (basically) no prior damage? Or would regular bleaching be okay?

You'll find the undyed roots will lighten up a lot more that the dyed hair so I highly recommend using colourb4 first then bleach bathing to lighten. You could get away with a full bleach first and condition the heck out of it then bleach bath every few weeks to get it to the shade you want. Good luck! Also to prevent damage looking into using coconut oil before bleaching! I swear by it 🙂

For reasons unbeknowst to me, I've just bleach bathed my hair when I meant to Colour B4 it first....

I know you're not meant to use bleach straight after a Colour B4, is it the same the other way round? I'd like to see if the B4 will get a bit more of the colour out.

I've uploaded two pcitures, it's currently lighter on one side of my head because I had more yellow on that side. It was mostly nuclear orange with some manic panic yellow (whatever it's called), and I'd like to re-dye it similar to how it's gone already, yellow graduated into pink.

As pastelly as possible though, so I wondered if using a Colour b4 today would shift a bit of what's left, or if it'd react with any bleachy particles that's still left in my hair?

is it still ok to bleach bat fine hair ? what about doing a proper bleach and how often? once a mth seems alot

Yes, it's ok to bleach bath fine hair if it's in good condition. It's also fine to bleach fine hair if it's in good condition. The key is good condition. So, you can bleach bath once a week IF your hair is in good condition and you can bleach once a month if your hair is in good condition. It's different for everyone. Many can't bleach more than once, others seem to be able to bleach lots with minimal damage.

My hair is really fine and I'd never full bleach it again, my hair really doesn't like it...I only bleach bath now and that seems to work for my hair, but I only bleach bath every now and then (I wouldn't fancy chancing more than one a month)
