Hi..
I currently have an all over bleach with a pink crazy colour on top. I am planning to do a mild bleach bath in the morning to remove the crazy colour and then do my roots later on in the day with 30vol.
I'm currently soaking in coconut oil as a pre bleach treatment (thanks to info from this forum π ) . Should I re apply the coconut oil to my roots after the bleach bath ready to do my roots?
*thx*
Well, I wouldn't recommend bleaching out pink. You can drive it further into the hair that way and then it's even harder to remove.
I also wouldn't do both on the same day. You should never, ever bleach freshly washed hair, especially on the scalp. The reason is, you want that natural oil and dirt to help protect your scalp and hair, this helps protect from some of the damage on your hair, but more importantly it protects your scalp from chemical burns. Coconut oil really isn't enough.
You can bleach bath on washed hair, though I don't think it's the best, so if you really have to do both on the same day (again I wouldn't recommend it for the above reason with the pink) then do the roots first and the bleach bath second.
What is the result you want? Are you doing another colour?
Hi,
Thanks for your reply.. no I want to do it pink again but it's a bit uneven at the moment so I want a fresh start. I did a bleach bath on it a couple of months ago and the pink came out really well... I do really need to get both done on the same say... so roots first then bleach bath after??
What is your opinion on the coconut oil thing? I;ve never tried it before!
