Best Cream Peroxide Brand?

I am about to bleach my hair after 10 years of not doing anything to it, but I need advice on which cream peroxide to use with Proclere Blue Frosting Gel, but I thought I'd make it more general and do a little survey with these two questions:

1. What peroxide brand/strength do you use?
2. What bleach powder/cream/gel do you use with it?
3. How good is it in terms of lifting power, post-processing condition and comfort? Please do mention from what base/colour you were trying to lift your hair from.

I use a wella peroxide with freeze ice lights powdered bleach. I tend to buy wella as it is cheaper and still as good as others and they usually are well stocked with 30vol and 20 vol at my local sallys.  as for lifting power, It lifts my almost black hair to a very pale yellow as it has added silver toner. It doesnt dry out my hair as much as other bleach/peroxide mixes do and it lifts in only 30-40 minutes with no itchiness or discomfort at all.

ive tried all kinds of mixes of all of these on pretty much every hair color possible, so i think the best products overall from my own experience are the matrix light master powder bleach, age beautiful creme bleach, and redken blonde icing creme developer.

i usually use matrix light master bleach powder. it has panthenol in it which is basically a moisturizer and idk if thats the ingredient in it that leaves my hair feeling much better than other bleaches ive used, or if its the combo of ingredients in it or what...but ive tried a lot of bleaches...clairol basic white, salon care blue flash, loreal quick blue, salon care prism lites in all of the tones, ion powder lightener, redken blonde icing, redken up to 7, redken blonde dimensions, kaleidocolors, matrix v light, chi blondest blonde creme lightener, and age beautiful creme lightener.

the chi creme lightener gave me the absolute most lift it was incredible, but despite it being a thick, creamy bleach, it was very hard on my hair. one of the harshest bleaches ive used.

loreal quick blue gives a lot of lift compared to most other bleaches, but is harsher on the hair as well.

age beautiful creme lightener has great lift, and is definitely one of the least damaging bleaches i have used

but the matrix light master gives the most lift, just about as much as the chi, while still being the least damaging bleach out of them all.

the rest are all kinda blah...i want impressed with the lifting power or the damage...

ive heard excellent things about wella blondor creme, that it lifts a lot but is easy on the hair. ive heard great things about wella's powder bleach too, even. @puerkz the freeze ice lights sounds great, is that by proclere too? i think it may be a more UK based product because ive never seen it here but it sounds promising + id like to try that too!

as far as peroxide goes, i really dont see a big difference in any of them, honestly. the ONLY peroxide that ive ever used that seems to help prevent more damage from bleaching is redken blonde icing peroxide. it has cera lipids in it so idk if thats what is helping keep the hair in better condition or what, but i really like it i dont care for the blonde icing bleach, but i love the peroxide. it comes in a bag with a cap on top + it is very thick and creamy. i always keep a bag of 20 vol around so i can use it as 20 or if i want to mix in some 30 or 40 to get a slightly higher vol. that is the ONLY developer that ive ever used that seems different. ive used salon care, ion, radken, matrix, all kinds of brands of developer and they all seem the same to me.

as far as strength of peroxide to use, it depends on the hair. i believe you said you have very dark virgin asian hair, right? i would use no higher than 30 vol. 40 vol is so harsh, it basically just rips the cuticle open _ it pretty much always damages the hair more than youd like. i never use 40 vol, ever. you can use 30 and as long as you apply it quickly + thoroughly + keep it covered after with foil and/or a shower cap/cling film/ plastic shopping bag so that it stays moist, you get the same lift that you would really, with 40, but with less damage.

whenever i have an asian/hispanic/middle eastern client with virgin dark brown/black hair, i always use 30 and it gets them to between an orangey gold to a pale yellow within 50 minutes or less. if you are anxious about potential damage or what color its going to lift to, do a strand test first. just take a small section of hair, put the bleach on it and keep it sealed. some peoples hair needs an extra kick though through the lengths + needs some heat from a blow dryer to warm it up, jut dont use heat on your scalp when using 30 vol. even my hair, which is fine and naturally ashy blonde, its fine but i have a  thicker cuticle than most fine haired people and i have to keep my hair warm when bleaching or else it barely lifts.

I started using the new Infinie Platine by L'Oreal Professional a few months back and I have no doubt that it has lifted better than most, even with 20vol. It's been worth the dosh. It claims to lift up to 8 levels, most are about 7.
I use generic 20 vol from Sallys.

Before, I used to use random bleaches including Proclere, with drying results.

I use Ion High Lift Blonde in either natural or ash, mixed with 20 developer, occassionally 30 when I run out, but 20 allows me to go slower. My natural hair is medium ash brown and it lifts very quickly. I only leave mine on for 20 minutes and it goes pale yellow, but I can see it lifting in 5 minutes.

I have had no issues with discomfort, and my hair is in good condition when I finish. I have used powder bleach and had to deal with dry hair, so I like using high lift dye much more.

Very helpful advice!

I am mainly interested in the ion brand of peroxide that is meant for sensitive scalp. You can only buy it in the US and I wonder if there are any UK equivalent.

I'm quite fond of this product, never have any soreness after use. Not sure why UK Sally's don't sell it but you could try searching on Amazon.
