beach and bleaching?

I have a question about bleaching and then going to the beach. I'm suppose to have my friend help me bleach my roots this Saturday and i'm also leaving for 3 days at the beach later that same day, should I just hold off on doing my hair since I will be in the water a lot or will I be okay. (I always wear a hat when im in the sun except for when I go swimming in the ocean.) I'm just not sure if its a good idea since my hair will be in a more fragile state and with the harshness of salt water if that will create a problem. I do put on coconut oil when im swimming too, so I don't know if that will be enough to protect freshly bleached hair?

The coconut oil would probably help, but if it was me I'd put it off til afterwards if you can. Even just for the sake of your scalp getting a bit battered.

yea I had a feeling that was probably the right decision, its just so hard when my roots are so bad, lol. I'm "cursed" with hair that grows like a weed and when you have a pixie cut its kind of a pain in the behind. I feel like i'm bleaching an inch of growth every 6 weeks, and then going in for a trim every 4-6 weeks, I need some anti miracle grow for my hair, lol. ( I know I shouldn't gripe, its not a bad problem to have)

I always say that, there should be something you can do to freeze your hair growth when you have a style or colour you like! Then even better, you should be able to catch up on all that growth again later when you're bored with it haha!

haha, you literally read my mind, if I could create a product like that I would be a billionaire! It reminds me of the cake and drink from Alice in wonderland that makes her grow and shrink, except this would make hair grow and then stop growing!
